Scott has been plumbing most of his life, beginning with helping his father, who was a master plumber most of his life, do various projects. He became a licensed journeyman in 1991 and a licensed master in 1995. He has been the project foreman/supervisor on multiple sites, including Innovis Health (Essentia) from 1998-2000. He then went into facility management, which included 7+ years of overseeing building maintenance and physical plants with boilers, chillers, RO systems, etc., as well as other departments for 2 medical facilities in the Fargo/Moorhead area. Scott then moved on to operate his own plumbing company for 5 years. For 3 years, he was the instructor for Minnesota State Community and Technical College (M State-Moorhead) Plumbing Technology program, as well as helping develop curriculum for the courses. He is currently teaching continuing education for Minnesota plumbers and has done so for 3 years.
