SCOTT THOMPSON
Scott has been plumbing most of his life, beginning with working with his father on various projects, who was a master plumber for over 30 years. Scott became a licensed journeyman in 1991 and a licensed master in 1995. He has been the project foreman/supervisor on multiple sites, running crews from 2 to 30 men. He went into facility management, which included 7+ years of overseeing building maintenance and physical plants with boilers, chillers, RO systems, etc., as well as other departments for 2 medical facilities in the Fargo/Moorhead area.
Scott then moved on to operate his own plumbing company for 5 years. He was the instructor for Minnesota State Community and Technical College (M State-Moorhead) Plumbing Technology program, as well as helping develop curriculum for the courses. He continues to be involved with the college. He is currently a plumbing continuing education approved instructor in Minnesota through the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry and in South Dakota by the South Dakota Plumbing Commission.
RUTH THOMPSON
Ruth began working in construction as a drywall finisher, becoming a journeyman in that field. She decided to change to the plumbing field in 1991 and became a licensed journeyman plumber in 1995. She has worked in both residential and commercial plumbing.
She is currently faculty at Minnesota State Community and Technical College in another field but does help with the plumbing program classes periodically. She is currently a plumbing continuing education approved instructor in Minnesota through the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry and in South Dakota by the South Dakota Plumbing Commission.
