Frequently Asked Questions

  • In 2013, the state of Minnesota passed a new mandate requiring 8 hours of continuing education per year for all licensed plumbers. These hours must consist of 6 hours of code and 2 hours of technical/other (which include various topics related to plumbing such as water heaters, etc.). All master plumbers, including restricted masters, MUST have 16 hours of continuing education, or CE, by December 31, 2014, consisting of 12 hours of code and 4 hours of technical/other.
  • Our classes run from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; lunch is provided.
  • A code book is not required, but it is suggested if you want to write notes in the margins. We do not sell code books; you can find them at Minnesota’s Book Store, phone number 800-657-3757, website http://www.comm.media.state.mn.us/bookstore/mnbookstore.asp.
  • Master, Journeyman, and Restricted licenses do not require different classes; all classes fulfill requirements for all plumbers.
  • If you are unsure of the type of continuing education hours you are credited with, please call 651-284-5031 and have your license number ready (your hours are recorded according to license number).
  • You should ALWAYS verify that any CE classes you are thinking of taking are approved by the state! Please call 651-284-5814 and verify us by our sponsor name (Anastasis, Inc.).
  • Custom sessions for individual shops are available; please call Ruth at 701-238-4245 for details.
  • Cancellation Policy: If you need to cancel your enrollment, you will need to notify us prior to the start of class. You can do this by calling Scott at 701-238-9816 or Ruth at 701-238-4245; if we are unable to answer, please leave a voicemail. You may choose to either have your fee refunded or enroll in another training session.
